Overview

Day 1: Reykjavik

Arrival in Reykjavik, transferred to your accommodation and check in accordingly. Spend the rest the day at own leisure

Day 2: Thingvellir – Geysir – Gullfoss breakfast & dinner

After breakfast, visit to the Aurora Reykjavik Northern Lights Centre for introduction on the Northern Lights. Then head to Thingvellir National Park. Continue to geothermal fields of Geysir with bubbling mud pools and high-spouting Strokkur hot spring. Also visit the two-tiered Gullfoss waterfall before stop at Skalholt. On the way back visit the town of Laugarvatn, built around three hot springs. Subject to weather condition, your guide will take you on a northern lights hunt on foot in the area outside your hotel, between the evenings of Day 2 to Day 4.

Day 3: Iceland’s South Shore – Eyjafjallajokull Volcano- Southeast Iceland breakfast & dinner

After breakfast, drive along the south shore and head to the Lava Centre. Enjoy both the exhibit and viewing interesting film about Icelandic volcanoes at the Centre‘s cinema. Later stop by Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls, then visit the Reynisfjara beach and admiring the extraordinary rock formations and thundering waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Finally cross a vast lava field created from the 18 century eruption while heading to the southeast of Iceland.

Day 4: Vatnajokull National Park – Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon breakfast & dinne

After breakfast, enter the southern area of Vatnajokull National Park, the largest one in Western Europe. Then visit Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon where you can enjoy the breath-taking sight of icebergs floating in the fantastic glacial lagoon. Nearby is the dramatic beauty of the Diamond Beach, where shrinking icebergs settle on the black sands before they drift out to sea. Then view Svinafellsjokull, one of the most beautiful of the glacial outlets emerging from Vatnajokull. Visit the national park’s famous Skaftafell area, a site of outstanding natural beauty dominated by several magnificent glaciers.

Day 5: Hveragerdi – Blue Lagoon – Reykjavik breakfast

After breakfast, visit to the Village of Hveragerdi often called “The Flower Village” because of its many greenhouses heated by hot water from nearby springs. Then return to Reykjavik where you can enjoy a dip in the famous Blue Lagoon, a unique wonder of nature with pleasantly warm, mineral-rich water in the middle of a black lava field. Rest of the evening is at your own leisure.

Day 6: Depart Reykjavik

After breakfast, be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
