Overview

Day 1: Kuala Lumpur - Christchurch

Assemble at Kuala Lumpur International Airport for your flight to Christchurch.

Day 2: Christchurch - City Tour

On arrival proceed for your Christchurch City Tour. Drive through acres of well-kept parklands, gothic-style buildings and Elizabethan mansions, and discover why this city is also called 'the most English city outside England'. Passing through the Avon River. Stop at the rugged Cashmere Hills where you can catch a view of Christchurch city. If time permits, stop at the Canterbury Museum for the historical side of Christchurch.

Day 3: Christchurch ~ Lake Tekapo ~ Mt. Cook ~ Mrs Jones Fruit Orchard ~queenstown

Travel through the Canterbury Plains, over Burke Pass, into the McKenzie Country. Stop at the Church Of The Good Shepherd, a small memorial set against a spectacular backdrop of snow capped mountains and turquoise waters of the lovely glacier-fed Lake Tekapo. Next, proceed to Lake Pukaki for a clear view of Mount Cook, also known as 'Aorangi' or 'The Cloud Piercer'. If weather permits, take an optional helicopter flight up to the Tasman Glacier and experience the thrill of landing on a sparkling white snowfield. Moving on to Kawarau Gorge, make a brief stop at Mrs. Jones Fruit Orchard to purchase some fruits. In the evening, reach the major resort town of Queenstown, nestled beside the deep blue waters of Lake Wakatipu.

Day 4: Queenstown - Milford Sound - Te Anau

The journey begins across the Kawarau Dam and along the southern arm of Lake Wakatipu to Kingston. Admire the wonderful scenery around you as you cut through the beech-forest of Eglinton Valley. Along the way, stop at spots of great scenic beauty like Mirror Lake, the Chasm and the rugged grandeur of the Hollyford Valley. Later, reach the World Heritage Site of Milford Sound - the eighth natural wonder of the world. During your cruise into the deep blue waterways of the fiordland, be awed by the grandeur of sheer rocky slopes rising dramatically out of the icy cold waters, against a stunning backdrop of snowy peaks. Take in the breathtaking sights while you lunch onboard the cruise. Next, proceed to Te Anau for your overnight accommodation.

Day 5: Te Anau - Glowworm Caves - Dunedin - Larnach Castle - Penguin Palace

After breakfast, travel across Lake Te Anau to explore the Te Anau Glow Worm Caves. Board a boat and be taken on an underground adventure alongside thundering streams and above cascading waterfalls. Glide through the silent darkness of the glowworm grotto and be greeted by the sight of glowworms illuminating the darkness. Thereafter, take a drive through the towns of Lamsden, Gore and Balclutha, before arriving at Dunedin, the largest and oldest city in New Zealand. This university city of Scottish heritage has a population of 120,000. On your Dunedin City Tour, you will be shown the city's architectural treasures, which include gothic-styled churches with soaring cathedral spires, the renowned Otago University, the famous Octagon and the magnificent Flemish-style railway station. Also visit the oldest castle in New Zealand - Larnach Castle, after that visit to Yellow eyed penguin reserve.

Day 6: Dunedin - Moeraki Boulders - Christchurch

This morning, travel up North, passing through the townships of Timaru and Oamaru. Make a stop at the famous Moeraki Boulders, which according to Maori tradition, the spherical boulders are gourds and calabashes washed from the great voyaging canoe Araiteuru when it was wrecked upon landfall in New Zealand some 1,000 years ago. If you are lucky, you may even get to see native Hector dolphins frolicking in the shallow waters off the shore. Proceed on with your journey and enjoy your scenic drive back to Christchurch.

Day 7: Christchurch - Rotorua - Paradise Valley Springs - Agrodome - Skyline Skyrides

Today, catch a flight to Rotorua, the Geothermal city of New Zealand. Begin the day with a visit to Paradise Valley Springs. Here, you will find numerous natural freshwater springs. Next stop will be the Agrodome, where you will be treated to a world famous stage-show featuring 19 breeds of sheep and the antics of working sheep dogs. At the Skyline Skyrides, take a thrilling ride in the Gondola high above the scenic city of Rotorua. For more excitement, go on an exhilarating ride on the one-kilometre Luge. Tonight, be treated to the ultimate Rotorua Experience - A traditional Hangi Feast cooked in the steam boxes and hot water pool. Spend a delightful evening with entertainment provided by a Maori Concert, giving you an insight into the unique and fascinating Maori culture and folklore. After dinner you may wish to round up your day with a soak in the hot mineral pools of the Polynesian Spa, at your own expense.

Day 8: Rotorua - Te Puia ~ Auckland - City Tour

This morning, visit to a natural wonderland of bubbling mud pools, erupting geysers and steaming hot springs at the Te Puia Thermal Reserve. Also, you can catch a glimpse of the Polynesian culture at the displays of Maori carving and flax weaving. Thereafter, continue your idyllic drive through lush green pastures into Auckland. Your Auckland City Tour takes you through this cosmopolitan city, which is also known as the 'City of Sails'. See the shopping district of Queen Street, the Victorian buildings at Parnell Village and the parklands of the Domain and Gardens. To fully appreciate the unique setting of Auckland, Make a stop as well to catch the best angles of the Auckland Harbour Bridge, one of the city's most distinctive landmarks. Tonight, enjoy a sumptuous farewell dinner, which includes sliced abalone, lobster, Peking duck and etc. After dinner, journey to Sky Deck and discover the highest views in Auckland.

Day 9: Auckland - Kuala Lumpur

After breakfast, free at leisure until transfer to airport for your flight to home.
