Overview
Day 1: Auckland Arrival
Upon arrival at Auckland International airport, transfer to Hotel by shuttle bus for Check In. Remainder of the day free at your own leisure. Overnight in Auckland.
Day 2: Auckland-waitomo-rotorua
Breakfast at hotel, check out and proceed for to Waitomo & Rotorua;
- Cross the rich Waikato farmland for Waitomo.
- Enjoy tour of the Waitomo Caves and a short boat ride through the famous Glow-Worm grotto.
See twinkling lights emitting from the ceiling like stars in a dark night.
- Then continue journey to the thermal resort of Rotorua
- Overnight in Rotorua
Day 3: Rotorua-matamata-rotorua
Breakfast at hotel and proceed for ;
- Rainbow Spring to see wildlife and trout swimming in crystal clear water,
- Enjoy an entertaining farm show at Agrodome
- At Te Puia Thermal Reserve., you will see boiling mud pools and the mighty Pohutu geyser.
- Maori culture of wood carving
- Lakeside boulevard and the iconic Government Gardens.
- Rural township of Matamata is the private farm; The Shire for Sir Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies.
- Overnight in Rotorua
Day 4: Rotorua-queenstown
Breakfast at hotel, check out and transfer to the airport. Fly to Queenstown (AIRFARES ARE NOT INCLUDED) Meet and greet on arrival and private transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight in Queenstown.
Day 5: Milford Sound Day
Breakfast at hotel then proceed to Milford Sound.
- Follow the Lake Wakatipu to Lumsden and then onward to Lake Te Anau.
- Enter Fiordland National Park along Eglington Valley and travel through Homer Tunnel .
- Enjoy the cruise on the spectacular world famous fiords dominated by Mitre Peak and Bowen Falls.
- Retrace the journey back to Queenstown (overnight).
Day 6: Queenstown Free And Easy
Breakfast at hotel then free at your own leisure or activities.
Day 7: Queenstown – Mt Cook- Christchurch
Breakfast at hotel, check out then proceed to Mount Cook
- Follow the shores of Lake Pukaki to Mount Cook National Park Village.
- Set at the foothill of the Southern Alps, you have a close up view of Mt Cook – New Zealand’s highest mountain.
- Visit the Church of the Good Shepherd at Lake Tekapo
- Depart to Christchurch in the evening
- Overnight in Christchurch
Day 8: Christchurch Airport Transfer
Breakfast in the hotel. Free at your own leisure until time to transfer airport for your flight home.
